Lydie appears to be a Chihuahua making her a very rare image from the late 19th century.
Lydie measures a bit over 12 inches. She is regal, she commands your attention with her presence Lydie is curious, sensitive, attentive and she is utterly fantastic. 
 
Charles Valton was a student of Antoine-Louis Barye  (French, 1795-1875) and Emmanuel Frémiet (French, 1824-1910)
